JoAnne received her Physical Therapy Degree in 2017 from the University of Alberta and prior to that graduated from Kinesiology in 2014 from the University of Calgary. Since graduation she has taken numerous continuing education courses to grow as a clinician. The education highlights are NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) Level 3, Shift Concussion Management Level 2, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Dry Needling Level 1, and Mulligan Concept Lower Extremity and Upper Extremity.

JoAnne takes a global approach to assess and treat movement dysfunctions. Rather than chasing pain, she focuses on finding faulty movement patterns to address the source of the problem. A typical session includes muscle testing, soft tissue therapy, joint mobilization, instrumentation assisted release, taping and a personalized home exercise program that will aid progress. Treatment plans are individualized to effectively target client’s recovery goals.

It is her belief that no one should ever have to fully stop participating in sport or activity due to an injury or condition and that with the commitment from herself and the client they can work in tandem to foster a return to sport, activity or occupation to their fullest potential. With a systematic approach to identify the contributing factors she works to identify the root cause of the pain/injury. JoAnne has a diversified experience in musculoskeletal conditions including post-surgical recovery, frozen shoulder, whiplash, MVA, strains and sprains, ACL rehabilitation, and has a special interest in concussion rehabilitation and functional movement therapy.

JoAnne’s passion for Physiotherapy dates back to her teenage years and her experience with injuries sustained during recreational sports. It was through these experiences she developed a passion towards movement and lifestyle improvement. As an avid hiker JoAnne dreamed of hiking the John Muir Trail, a long-distance trail, and she would not have completed it if she did not take her own injury recovery seriously. Dr Hillard initially found out about NUCCA after it helped him find relief from headaches. After this experience he earned a bachelor of Science from the University of Lethbridge, followed by a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa. Upon graduation he returned to his hometown of Calgary to begin his NUCCA practice, and to offer relief to other Calgarians suffering from headaches without a solution. When not in the clinic, he is out biking, skating, hiking, or travelling with his wife Audina and children Astrid and Marlow. Robin McCulloch, AKA “The Brace Lady”. Robin is the proud Owner and Founder of HiTech Athletic Bracing & Orthotic Services Ltd. Operating out of Precision Posture. Robin opened HiTech at the age of 24 and has worked hard over the 20 years to build the business. Robin has been the recipient of several awards over the years such as: Young Entrepreneur of Year, Chamber Customer Services Awards, Canada’s Top 100 Female Entrepreneur of the Year, and most recently Lethbridge Women of Distinction Award. Robin is Alberta born and raised. She graduated from University of Calgary with a degree in Kinesiology in 1997. After graduating she also became a Certified Pedorthist and Brace Fitter.
